Safeguarding and Staying Safe

Your safety and wellbeing are our top priority. Lancashire Adult Learning is committed to creating an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.

We Don't Tolerate Harm

We have zero tolerance for discrimination, abuse, harassment, or bullying of any kind. Everyone deserves to learn in a space where they feel secure and supported.

If You Don't Feel Safe

If something doesn’t feel right, whether it’s happening to you or someone else, please tell us straight away. We’re here to help, and we’ll take your concerns seriously.

How to report a concern:

What Counts as Abuse?

Abuse can take many forms, including:

  • Bullying, harassment, or intimidation
  • Physical, emotional, or psychological harm
  • Extremism or radicalisation
  • Cyberbullying or online harassment
  • Any e-safety concerns

If you’re experiencing harm or fear you might be at risk, inside or outside of college, please reach out as soon as you can. The sooner we know, the sooner we can support you.

Staying Safe Online

Your digital safety matters too. At the start of your course, we’ll ask you to sign our acceptable use policy as part of our shared commitment to staying safe online.

If you ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable online, speak to yor tutor or contact our safeguarding team in confidence on 07392 195338.

Remember: Speaking up isn’t causing trouble. It’s keeping our community safe.
