The qualification is intended for those who need to upskill for job progression, gain entry requirements for a undergraduate degree or who have a keen interest in biology.
What will I learn?
You will study: – cell biology – infection and response – bioenergetics – homeostasis and response – inheritance, variation and evolution – ecology practical
How is the course delivered?
This course is delivered face to face at our Nelson and Colne College campus.
How will my learning be assessed?
You will be externally assessed via two exams.

Potential Careers
Learners who complete GCSE Biology can progress to a wide range of further study options, including Access to Higher Education programmes or vocational science and health-related courses.
